PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THERE ARE FREQUENT STATIC AND MOBILE RADAR TRAPS ON MAJOR FRENCH ROADS THESE DAYS SO PLEASE DRIVE WITHIN THE SPEED LIMITS  - IF MOTORISTS FLASH THEIR LIGHTS AT YOU IT MEANS THAT THERE IS A SPEED TRAP AHEAD, SO SLOW DOWN. IF YOU ARE CAUGHT TRAVELLING AT MORE THAN 40 KM ABOVE THE SPEED LIMIT THEY CONFISCATE YOUR CAR AND IT IS A HEAVY ON THE SPOT FINE.

Getting here:
Located in a tiny hamlet 'Le Noyer' is situated on the West side of the N21 road and not far from the village of Pont St Mamet which is in the commune of Douville.

getting here by car
Easy access via the A20 or A10 motorways from Paris/Channel ports/Belgium. The A89 Bordeaux/Brive la Gaillarde motorway brings one to Perigueux and the N21 from Perigueux (direction Bergerac)  passes close to Pont St Mamet and is the easiest route coming from the north.

The surrounding area has mixed farms, a few vineyards, lots of oak and pine woodland with paths for walking/cycling etc. The nearby village has a bakery with small grocery, a bar/restaurant, a Post Office, and a junior school. It is an easy 20 minute drive down the nearby N21 to Bergerac, or about  the same distance north to Périgueux.
